Internally, the eye is lined by a complex, multi-layered, thin living film that converts light into electrical impulses for the brain. This layer, without which we would all be living in darkness, is known as the retina.
Unfortunately, there are hundreds of disease conditions that can affect the retina, but the extent to which they influence vision can vary significantly.
At LDA Eye Clinic we provide treatment for all of the common, and many of the uncommon, retinal conditions that affect peoples’ eyes, including:
Diabetic retinal disease
Macular holes
Retinal vein or artery blockages (‘occlusions’)
Epiretinal membranes
Retinal detachment
Posterior uveitis
If you have a retinal problem for which you need treatment, or you just need to have questions answered by an expert in the field who will be able to dedicate the time to you that you need to put your mind at rest, please get in touch via phone or email. We will be happy to assist.
